For every kind of relationship

Lovin’ ain’t easy. But, worth it. I’ve got some major life experience to back that up. Let’s dive into navigating relationships of all types. Romantic partners. Friendships. Your relationship with yourself. (That last one is most important.)

Do it for the love #Truthbomb elaborations

No matter what you do in life, whether it’s truly noble or expedient BS, you’re going to sweat for it, you’re going to lose a few battles, get criticised, hit the wall. There aren’t many shortcuts to greatness, so really, just #doitforthelove.

Some fame, too much coolness, and the kindness that makes everything okay.

If you’ve been around any PFP’s for any length of time you’ll notice (and yes this is an overgeneralization but, not really), that almost everybody wants something from them.

Self care is a divine responsibility #Truthbomb elaborations

…and by that I mean…If you believe that you are a child of the universe, or a product of Love, and/or a global citizen, then it’s common sense that you care well for yourself. In fact, you’re honour bound to love yourself.

Staying fluid, jealousy, and are women too hard on themselves? A Q&A on Womanhood

The German magazine Allegria, asked me some good questions about WOMANHOOD. We could have talked for days…

Spill your desire to love and be loved everywhere

I’ve had thousands of conversations with people about desire and this is what I’ve learned from them (and from my own fiercely tender fierce heart): Desire is simple.
You can crave it, distill it, and peel back every kind of wish and most get to this: Everyone desires to love and be loved.

Lovevolve Lovevolve Lovevolve #Truthbomb elaborations

Find out precisely how your people want to be loved and then…just love them that way. (Take the Love Languages test if you want to dig in to this psychology.) Bend to give the person in your gaze exactly what they need, the way they need it — and guaranteed, you’ll be a better person for that kind of giving.

When you get through the big pain, this is what happens: Near-blinding radiance.

You will have more to give—and you will LOVE giving it. You will seek to give. It will be the most incredible feeling. Someone is going to come to you with a broken wing, or low on reserves and you are going to have so much love and insight to offer them.

#TellThemNow. The intimacy of gratitude will blow your life wide open. (+ a Father’s Day video that will have you weeping)

One of my least favourite behaviours of mine is withholding love. I’m hugely proud to say that it rarely happens. (If you’re going to boast about anything, let it be your capacity for loving.) But it still happens. It’s a reservedness that creeps over my usually boundless heart. I tell myself that staying quiet will give me shelter (from what?*), but it isn’t shelter at all.

Disruptive joy. Why do we push away positive feelings?

Here’s the short answer: Because positive feelings are a form of power. And power is all kinds of uncontrollable, elevating, disruptive, expansive, and threatening — to your own fear, and to people who prefer low-risk living…

One night stands and other sacred containers not always meant to be breached.

I was in Mexico with a friend, we were drinking margaritas at an outdoor cafe. “A smoke would go good with this tequila,” I said. So I asked the woman at the table next to me if I could bum one…
