The Desire Map Conversation Starter App

A heart opening app for seekers - solos, pairs or groups.

Questions for soulful living. For all seekers – solo, pairs, or groups. I think we long to hear a genuine answer to our questions, to know the secret, to share the truth. I think we want to hear something familiar and comforting, as well as something kind of astounding.

I think we long to hear a genuine answer to our questions, to know the secret, to share the truth. I think we want to hear something familiar and comforting, as well as something kind of astounding.

I think we long to be asked something important, with care; and that we’re so very capable of listening — listening in a way that creates true connection.

I think we need to ask real questions…ask quietly to ourselves, in a cafe with a friend, on the sofa with your honey, in a circle that could have been a book club or staff meeting but turned into a regular Desire Map Conversation Starter. Long car rides or texts. Almost anytime.

Ask. Listen. Love.

Conversation Groups

Testimonials

“I’m introverted and highly sensitive, so groups of any kind tend to zap my energy. However, this event was different. I left feeling overflowing with love, connection, gratitude and wonder. I felt more myself than I have in a long time. And this feeling reverberated into the days and weeks that have passed since. I find myself thinking of our conversations, remembering the vulnerability, the candor, the laughter and the tears. And I smile. Seeing such a broad display of feeling in one sitting is a privilege. A true privilege.”

“There’s always someone who thinks they’re the only one (going through a particular thing), and it’s beautiful to watch that disappear as one or more person says, “Me too!” It’s an incredibly healing force. I left the conversation gathering even more in love with women, our intricacies, individuality, courage and beauty. So damn good.”

“…the questions opened up a conversation at the dinner table that had my 6 year old ask for forgiveness about something he’d been holding onto and I asked for forgiveness in return … What? Seriously? From an app? Yep. Because that’s how Danielle creates, she somehow manages to infuse intimacy and heart into the most accessible of mediums.”

Conversation FAQ

If I haven't read The Desire Map, will I still love the app?

Absolutely. The book’s philosophy is woven into many questions but they’re still very relatable even if you haven’t Desire Mapped (but seriously, Desire Mapping is so good for you — do it).

What does the Conversation Starters app do?

The Conversation Starters app delivers a series of questions (you can view them in order, or shuffle randomly). The questions are intended to spark meaningful conversations — with yourself or someone you know, at work, in a group, via email, in a text…. Use ‘em anywhere, anytime.

So are you saying I can download and print all the questions in the app without actually buying the app?

Yup.

What’s the difference between the app and the downloadable questions?

Same exact questions. We’re generous like that. The only difference is that the app delivers them to you digitally, and within the app, you can highlight your favorites, forward them to friends, share them on social media, and generally, have them at your fingertips for easy access convos and journaling.

If I have read The Desire Map, will the app give me anything new?

Most definitely. Many of the questions are a fresh spin on Desire Mapping notions and practices. This is new and/or deeper terrain.

I want to start my own conversation group. How do I get it going?

We made you an easy copy + paste email invitation template. It lives in the Conversation Starter Guide, which is HERE.

How do I find a conversation gathering to join?

We have several ideas on that. Check out our Conversation Starter Guide HERE.

Do I have to be part of a conversation gathering to use this app?

Not at all. We think the idea of intentional conversation collectives is way sexy, but if that’s not your thing, ask yourself the questions, journal your answers, or share them with just one person you trust.
